HIMSS survey highlights IT trends

The 26th annual Health Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) leadership survey involved 330 participants and asked about issues impacting the business side of healthcare.

Patient engagement, quality of care, and patient satisfactions were major focal points found in the results of the survey. The HIMSS vice president of strategic relations, John Daniels, noted that over 33 percent of the participants said their organization was able to demonstrate improvement in all three areas as a result of their IT use.
